Lunch Bunch edible gifts are handmade fresh using carefully selected ingredients, including chocolate-dipped strawberries, fresh fruit, donuts, dessert treats, meat and cheese, flowers and custom edible arrangements. To enjoy your gift at its best, please follow the care instructions below as soon as your order is delivered or collected.

Our gifts are designed for same-day enjoyment, especially fresh fruit, berries, chocolate-covered strawberries and refrigerated edible bouquets. If you are sending a surprise gift, we recommend making sure the recipient will be available to receive it so the arrangement can be stored correctly.

General Care Instructions

• Keep your edible gift cool and away from direct sunlight, heat, heaters or warm cars.
• Refrigerate fresh fruit, berries, chocolate strawberries, meat and cheese products as soon as possible.
• For best presentation and flavour, enjoy fresh edible gifts on the day they are delivered or collected.
• If collecting your order, bring a cooler bag, insulated box or air-conditioned vehicle, especially on warm days.
• Do not leave edible gifts outside, unattended or exposed to insects, heat or moisture.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberries, Fruit and Berries

Chocolate-covered strawberries, fresh fruit bouquets and berry arrangements are best enjoyed within 24 hours of delivery or pickup. Store them in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy them, then allow them to sit at room temperature briefly before serving if preferred.

Fresh strawberries and fruit naturally release moisture over time, especially when covered in chocolate or sweet coatings. This is normal, but it means these products are best enjoyed as fresh as possible.

Donuts, Meringues, Cookies, Waffles and Sweet Bouquets

Bouquets and gift boxes containing donuts, meringues, cookies, waffles, chocolate bars or other sweet treats are best enjoyed on the day of delivery. If you need to keep them longer, store suitable items in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2–3 days, depending on the ingredients.

Where possible, keep dry sweets separate from fresh fruit or refrigerated items so they do not absorb moisture.

Fruit, Vegetable, Meat and Cheese Bouquets

Fresh fruit, vegetable, meat and cheese bouquets should be kept refrigerated until serving. Fruit and vegetable arrangements are usually best enjoyed within 24 hours, while meat and cheese gifts should also be refrigerated immediately and consumed as soon as possible.

Always use your own judgement before eating fresh food. If a product has been left in heat, direct sunlight, outdoors or unrefrigerated for too long, it may no longer be suitable to eat.

Dried Fruit, Nuts and Shelf-Stable Gifts

Dried fruit, nuts and shelf-stable edible gifts should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. These products generally last longer than fresh fruit or chocolate-covered strawberries, but should still be kept clean, dry and protected from insects or dust.

Flowers and Fresh Greenery

Some Lunch Bunch arrangements include flowers, herbs or fresh greenery. These decorative elements may have a small water source inside the arrangement. Once you disassemble the bouquet, you may be able to trim and place suitable flowers or greenery into fresh water to enjoy them for longer.

Delivery and Surprise Gift Tips

Because Lunch Bunch gifts are fresh and handmade, it is important that someone is available to receive the delivery. If the recipient is not home, the gift may need to be left in a safe place, taken to a neighbour or returned depending on the delivery situation.

For surprise gifts, you do not need to reveal what is being delivered, but we recommend letting the recipient know that something fresh is arriving so they can bring it inside quickly.
